SC quashes 4 cases against Janardhan Reddy

Bengaluru: In a big relief to the former BJP Minister from Karnataka, G. Janardhana Reddy who was already preparing for the upcoming assembly elections, the Supreme Court disposed of four cases relating to the unaccounted property case filed against him.

In 2021, the Income Tax Department filed four cases against Reddy, alleging that he had acquired the property in 2009 which were termed unaccounted. However, the apex court has ordered all prosecutions regarding the allegations in these four cases to be quashed.

Meanwhile, the mining baron has decided to make a comeback into politics and is waiting for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) high command’s nod for his candidacy
