Buy metro tickets through Paytm, Yatra apps

Bengaluru: In addition to prov id i n g Mobi le QR ticketing on Namma Metro Mobile App for convenience of metro commuters, BMRCL is extending mobile QR code ticket generation through Paytm and Yatra mobile applications with effect from December 8.

Commuters with Android OS/IOS may download the Paytm App or Yatra App from the play store/App Store and register themselves to purchase online single journey QR tickets. Commuters may obtain the mobile QR ticket by specifying the station of entry and destination station on the day of journey.

The purchased mobile QR ticket on their mobile phone must be flashed at the QR readers of the Automatic Gates (AG) at both entry/exit of stations. The purchased mobile QR tickets are valid till the end of the revenue service of the day.

However, if the commuter is not performing the journey, he may trigger the cancellation of the ticket on the same day upon which the amount will be refunded. QR tickets are being offered at 5% discount over the token fare.

The BMRCL has requested all commuters to make use of the facility of QR tickets, promote digitisation and also travel conveniently at lesser costs.
