PWD office robbed

Bengaluru: With rising crimes, it seems that even government offices in the city are not safe. After recent incidents of bank robberies and miscreants carrying away ATM machines, a few unidentified offenders are now showing off their skills by robbing government offices here.

Vidhana Soudha police were shocked when they were alerted about computer systems and important documents missing from the Public Department Annexe Building in the Ambedkar Veedhi. According to sources, three desktop computers and several files and documents from three cupboards went missing.

The sources added that the theft might have taken place when the officials were on holiday. It came to light only when the officials returned to the office. A complaint has been filed by Assistant Executive Officer Ananth regarding the incident. The police are investigating the matter. NTC
