
Raids at pubs violating night rules

Bengaluru: In order to keep a check on the pubs and restaurants flouting rules amid the preparations for the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the cops raided several places in the Central Division of the city on Tuesday night.
According to sources, the raids were led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru Central Division, Srinivas Gowda to warn the pubs against violating guidelines issued by the City Police Commissioner.
The raids were carried out at 108 places, including pubs located in places such as Sheshadripuram, Ashok Nagar, Cubbon Park, High Grounds and SR Nagar police station limits. Cases have been filed against pubs that were found to be flouting the night-time rules and operating beyond permissible hours.
