SWR to operate special trains to meet holiday rush

Bengaluru: To cope with the upcoming Christmas and New Year holiday travel load, South Western Railways will be running special trains at varied prices, Aneesh Hedge, chief public Relations officer of South Western Railway, Hubballi said.
The following trains will be catering the cause: Train No. 06211/06212 Mysuru – Kochuveli – Mysuru Express Special will be doing double trips. Kochuveli- Mysuru Express Special will depart from Kochuveli at 10 PM on December 24 & 26, 2022 and arrive at Mysore at 04:45 PM on the next day and Mysore – Kochuveli Express Special will depart from Mysore at 11:30 PM on December 23 & 25, 2022 and arrive at Kochuveli at 07:20 PM on the upcoming day.
These trains will comprise of 17 Coaches consisting of 4 – AC Two tier coaches, 11 – AC Three tier Coaches and 2 – Luggage cum brake vans with Generator cars. Train No 06221 Mysuru – Kannur Express Special will leave from Mysuru at 11.30 PM on 30th December and 1st January and arrive at Kannur at 05:15 PM on succeeding day, followed by Train No. 06222 Kannur – Mysuru Express Special will leave from Kannur at 08:55 PM on 31st December and 2nd January and arrive at Mysore at 02:30 PM next day.
These trains will comprise of 17 Coaches comprising 4 – AC Two tier coaches, 11 – AC Three tier Coaches and 2 – Luggage cum brake vans with Generator cars. Train No.07687 Narasapur – Yesvantpur Special Express will prepare to leave from Narasapur at 03:10 PM on 25th December, in order to reach Yesvantpur at 10:50 AM next day.
Train No.07688 Yesvantpur – Narasapur Express Special moving towards return direction will depart from Yesvantpur at 03:50 PM on 26th December to reach Narasapur at 08:30 AM on the upcoming day
