Bengaluru: A panel discussion on the book titled Reimagining Kautilya’s Arthashastra will be held on 28th December at the Bangalore International Centre, from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm in the evening.

The panel of speakers comprise Sriram Balasubramanian, author, and economist, with Rajnish R, a successful entrepreneur. The discussion will be followed by a question and answer session.  India, being a land of riches and high societies saw a weeping surge in the economy from the 18th century.

What kept this boat of prosperity afloat for so many years? , according to Balasubramanian, the answer to this question is found in the social-economic makeup in the ancient heritage, he said quoting Kautilya’s Arthashastra as a primary example.

In his book, Balasubramanian mentions three things; the first being, to provide context and structure for Kautilya's economic conviction, second, an examination of his works in the current scenario, and the last to keep it easy to grasp and reader-friendly.

Kautilya’s conviction is a dive into Dharma Capitalism and its components like wealth creation with a worldwide economic angle alongside a structure with minimal to no intervention from the state and keeping in mind growth through environmental, social, and family responsibilities.

As per Balasubramanian, manifesting India’s avid philosophical heritage and rich economy can become of great use. It would turn out to be a great asset in its ascent, again.
