2 vehicle thieves land in police net

Bengaluru: Two persons were arrested by the Talaghattapura police for allegedly involving in twowheeler theft in the city.

The police identified the accused as Chandrappa, 24, and Ravi Kumar, 20, both residents of Marenahalli. The arrest was made based on a complaint filed by a resident regarding a bike theft. The resident said that he had kept two mobile phones in the bike before parking it outside his house.

After the arrest, it was revealed that the duo, with the help of an accomplice, identified as Manjunath, were involved in twowheeler theft at Mahalakshmi Layout, Girinagar, Konanakunte and Tumkur Town police station limits. The police recovered six two-wheelers estimated to be worth Rs 4 lakh and a mobile phone from the accused.

The police detected cases filed against Chandrappa at Vijayanagar, Chandra Layout and Annapoorneshwari Nagar police stations while Ravi had one case against him filed at Govindraj Nagar police station.
