Bengaluru: Congress’ student wing National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Tuesday took out a bicycle rally to highlight poor condition of roads in the city. The Karnataka state NSUI took out a cycle rally from Hebbal to Gandhi Nagar.
The union also highlighted the need for green and structured pedestrian and bicycle pathways “There's zero safety for cyclists and pedestrians on Bengaluru roads. The bad road conditions leads to hostile attitude from fellow motorists towards pedestrians. We want the BJP government to understand the challenges people face on a daily basis,” said Keerthi Ganesh the Karnataka state president of NSUI president.
Poor roads, potholes, and lack of pedestrian pathways and zero safety of cyclists have been one of the main talking points of the Congress and other Opposition parties against the BJP- led State government.
