Give life-long trade licences, says BBHA

Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Hotels Association (BBHA) on Saturday demanded that trade licenses be given life-long validity under the hospitality sector. They also placed other demands including the implementation of the rule to allow eateries to function through the night, among other Ease of Doing Business (EDB) concerns.

“We would like to put forward certain demands to the Central and State governments. Our police department hasn’t yet agreed to 24/7 rule. We need to launch a legal struggle on this in the days to come. Trade license and FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) licenses should have a one time, meaning a life time validity,” BBHA president PC Rao said.
