
Man arrested with 220 debit & credit cards

Bengaluru: A person from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for fraudulently acquiring credit cards and Point-of-Sale (POS) machines by submitting forged documents to banks.
The fraud came to light when a private bank executive visited a popular eatery near Banashankari BDA complex for verification.
The eatery owner, Vivek, was surprised to learn that they had received an application for a POS machine from him. The owner was further shocked when he found that the application bore the name of one Navneet Pandey as the shop owner but had the hotel’s name and a fake seal on it.
The hotel owner approached the jurisdictional police and reported the matter following which the miscreant was tracked and later nabbed by the cops. Navneet Pandey, a resident of Banashankari had forged the documents to dupe the hotel.
After raiding his house, the police recovered 110 debit cards, 110 credit cards, three laptops, six mobile phones and 14 fake seals belonging to restaurants and private firms
