‘BJP will award B report like Eshwarappa’s case’

Bengaluru/ Hubballi: BJP has been facing political pressure over a businessman mentioning MLA Arvind Limbavali in his suicide note, as Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) flayed the saffron party over the same.

KPCC president DK Shivakumar said that the incident was reminiscent of the Santosh Patil suicide case, wherein the deceased had mentioned Eshwarappa as being solely responsible. Still, the BJP bigwig got a clean chit anyway.

“If an FIR has been registered, then let it be registered under the correct sections under the law. However, they write a B report as soon as possible. The BJP government has awarded B reports in cases involving their ministers in the past. They’ll do the same with Limbavali’s case as well. We know this,” he said. ‘Arrest Limbavali’ AAP’s Mukhyamantri Chandru, on the other hand, demanded Limbavali’s “immediate arrest” in the case.

“S Pradeep named six people, including BJP MLA Aravind Limbavali, responsible for his death. We still remember what happened in the Santosh Patil, a contractor’s suicide case. The police, without even interrogating former minister K S Eshwarappa, gave a clean chit, although his name was on the death note.

The BJP wants to induct the same minister back into the cabinet. We do not want Limbavali also to be let go without an investigation in the same way. We demand immediate arrest of all the accused, including Mr Limbavali in the suicide case,” he said.
