
3 held for posing as docs

Bengaluru: Three persons, who had allegedly extorted money from the residents by opening a fake Ayurvedic treatment centre in the city, were arrested by Wilson Garden police.
The police said the accused were the natives of Rajasthan, identified as Mallik, 50, Saif Ali, 25, and Mohammed Raees, 55. The police have seized several medical equipments, four cars, three two-wheelers and 3.5 lakh in cash from their possession.
The arrest was made based on a complaint filed by a Shantinagar resident, Pankaj Rathore, alleging that the accused had promised to treat his mother suffering from leg pain and swelling.
