14 fresh cases recorded

Bengaluru: Bengaluru recorded 14 Covid-19 cases on January 3, taking the city's active caseload to 259, according to the BBMP's official bulletin released on Tuesday.

The day's test positivity rate stood at 0.57%. No deaths were reported. A total of 5,148 tests were conducted on the day.

Zero people have recovered and over 1,392 citizens took the precautionary dose. The civic authorities are excercising extreme caution due to Omicron BF 7 variant.
