Fire breaks out at warehouse; no casualties

Bengaluru: A fire broke out at a warehouse containing pooja materials on DVG Road in Basavanagudi here. According to sources, many residents noticed the fire blazing out of the 3rd floor of the building around 11:30 pm Sunday and alerted the jurisdictional police about it.

It was disclosed that the warehouse contained pooja materials such as camphor, incense sticks, lamp oil and other items which caught fire. The residents said the fire spread to the building in no time.

The sources further said that it took almost one hour for the fire tenders to extinguish the blaze completely. It is suspected that the warehouse may have caught fire due to a short circuit.
