KCR, BRS bigwigs to campaign for JD(S)

Kalaburagi: Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president B Chandrashekhar Rao would be campaigning for the JD(S) along with his ministerial colleagues ahead of the upcoming Kar nataka Assembly elections, it has been disclosed.
The neighbouring state’s Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod revealed the plan on Sunday in a meeting with JD(S)’ Kalaburagi unit. JD(S) Gulbarga district president Balaraj Shiva Guthedhar in Kalaburagi had organised the meeting.
Rathod said that the objective was to help JD(S) legislature party president HD Kumaraswamy the chief minister of Karnataka a third time. She added that two points of emphasis would be tribal welfare, including a proposed increase in quota for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in Karnataka and redressing of farmers’ issues.
