BJP MLC Vishwanath to join Congress Party soon

Bengaluru: The miffed BJP MLC and former minister A.H. Vishwanath has announced that he will go back to the Congress party soon. With this, the famous ‘Bombay Team’ that toppled the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition Government through a coup in 2019, paving the way for a BJP government, has lost its first wicket.

Vishwanath told reporters in Mantralaya that he was not a BJP MLC but an independent MLC who was nominated to the Legislative Council from other fields. Congress blood runs in his vein and he will soon return to his original party. “I was feeling suffocated in the saffron party all these years.
