
Che Guevara’s daughter, granddaughter special invitees to CITU’s Bengaluru conference

Bengaluru: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has stated that the 17th All India Conference of CITU will be organised at Bengaluru Palace Grounds from January 18 to 22. A public meeting will also be held at National College Grounds in Bengaluru on January 22. Dr. K Hemalatha, president of CITU, and other members will be present at the conference.
Elamaram Kareem, a member of parliament in Rajya Sabha is also scheduled to attend the conference. Aleida Guevara, the eldest daughter of Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, better known as Che Guevara, the famed Marxist revolutionary, and his granddaughter are going to be the special invitees attending the meeting.
The conference is going to mainly discuss the condition of workers in the nation and the various government policies that have been brought about in the past three years, both nationally and internationally.
The conference will deliberate on how modern technology such as AI has impacted the working class, the ever-increasing migrant worker population, the consequences of communalism on workers, and the impact of the newly formed gigworker economy.
