Bride rides ‘Namma Metro’ to wedding venue

Bengaluru: A video of a bride from the city who ditched her car and took the metro to reach her wedding venue on time has been making rounds on the social media platform - Instagram. In the video, ironically bringing to light the traffic woes in the city, the bride and her friends can be seen giggling and reaching the metro station clad in wedding attire.
In another follow up clip the bride was seen all set to tie the nuptial knot at the mantapa. While many city residents admired the bride for her smart move, a handful also said that the city’s infrastructure must not be blamed for the lack of punctuality.
"Firstly, aren't we supposed to be in the mantapa like a day before the wedding? It is so evident that it’s a publicity stunt. People do find new ways to gain publicity,” a netizen wrote. "What does the city or traffic have to do with this? Why always blame the city for all these wrong planning by an individual? Traffic is everywhere in all Indian cities.
Agreed, the metro saves time, and maybe it must be next to their home or convenient for them. But it doesn’t mean you can simply show the city in poor light,” another post on social media said.
