Youth commits suicide after a 'failed affair'

Bengaluru: Following a break-up with his girlfriend, a 25-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Ullal Upanagara satellite town on Thursday. The police have identified the deceased as Rohit, a DTDC courier delivery executive in the city.

Police sources said that the youth had been in love with a girl in his locality for the past five to six years. However, of late, their relationship had strained leading to heated arguments between both of them. On Wednesday, Rohit reportedly had gone to meet his girlfriend.

Later, he came back and called her over the phone. They, then, decided to break up. Upset over the turn of events, he allegedly committed suicide in the evening, sources further said.
