Polling booth inspection conducted by BBMP chief, team

Bengaluru: In a poll booth inspection visit, led by Tushar Girinith, Chief Commissioner of the Bruhat Bengaluru, Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Zonal managers visited the Mahadevapura Zone on Thursday.

The team inspected the minimum infrastructure required for the polling booth and the officials have been ordered to maintain the smooth functioning of services that will benefit the mentally challenged persons near polling booths.  

Chief Commissioner BBMP also instructed officers to make sure that amenities like drinking water, waiting room, electricity, toilet, and ramp facilities should be treated as a priority and as mandatory for all polling booths. The work for St Paul’s High school and eight new polling booths will be set up and a ramp is being installed on either side.

The plan is to make five more booths in Siddhartha Srinivasa High School, Geddalahalli. Eight booths have been designated in a government college in K R Puram and another ten are being placed adjacent to Karnataka Public School.
