17-year-old commits suicide

Bengaluru: A 17-year-old girl was found hanging in her grandfather’s house, where she had been staying, in the city here.

The deceased has been identified as Ranjitha. Sources close to the family said Ranjitha’s parents were living in Denkanikottai while she had stayed back with her grandfather in Bengaluru.

Preliminary police investigation has revealed that the deceased was depressed over the last few days due to her grandfather’s deteriorating health.
