New Delhi: Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 12 noon on Wednesday as Opposition members continued to protest demanding the revocation of suspension of 12 MPs. Soon after the papers were laid and the Zero Hour began, Opposition members were up on their feet, demanding the revocation of the suspension of their fellow MPs.

wsaid, “We have repeatedly requested that 12 suspended MPs should be recalled. The suspension should be revoked.” Not heeding to their demand, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu continued with the Zero Hour proceedings even as Opposition members trooped in the Well, raising slogans.
He repeatedly requested the protesting members to go back to their seats and said, “Disobeying the chair is undemocratic. You are compounding the offense. you are not letting the House function for the last 10 days. This (protest) is not allowed.”

The chair also said, “You cannot defend the undefendable” and urged the protesting members not to deprive other members the opportunity to ask questions during the Zero Hour.
