AISA screens BBC documentary

Bengaluru: All India Students Association (AISA) screened the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) documentary ‘India: The Modi Question’ at their office on Infantry road on Saturday.

“We have seen this ban culture started during the Congress era, which has peaked in Modi's regime, but student youths have always resisted it and shown the establishment the mirror that the power of majority masses is always above the ruling minority,” Rohit from AISA said.

“Going against the undemocratic decision of the government ban on film, AISA has screened the film in many campuses across India. Here in Bengaluru, students from various colleges joined the screening in large numbers organised by us and proved that we are not here to accept any form of oppression by this fascist government,” he added.

Screening of the documentary, which talks about the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2002 Gujarat riots, has disrupted the environment of colleges and universities across the nation. Several students were detained while others were attacked for attempting to watch the banned BBC documentary on PM Modi.
