Bengaluru: The police have Intensified probe into the death of a woman whose skeletal remains were found recently at an isolated place in Hulimavu police station limits. The cops have taken the deceased woman's husband, Amar Dami, into custody, in this connection.
According to police sources, Amar Dami had filed a missing complaint on July 13, 2022, alleging that his wife, Pushpa Dami, 22, had been missing from home. Investigation so far has revealed that the woman had left her husband's house on July 8.
When the police questioned Pushpa's husband as to why he waited for four days to file a complaint, Amar said that he thought she might have gone back to her native in Nepal. He alleged that Pushpa had been warning him that she would return to her native during arguments, earlier.
Meanwhile, Pushpa's parents have accused Amar of killing her. The police also spoke to the nearby apartment residents to obtain the CCTV footage. However, it was revealed that since it has been six months after the incident, the footage has been deleted.
The police have sent the DVR to retrieve the deleted footage as there is no other technical evidence to ascertain the cause of the woman's death. A team of police also verified the CDR from Pushpa's mobile phone and are currently interrogating several people with whom she had spoken before her death.
