Bengaluru: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using new and confusing words to mislead the Karnataka voter. AAP state communication in-charge Brijesh Kalappa said that Glocal and Amrit Kaal were merely flashy words and challenged the prime minister to answer questions related to businessman Gautam Adani.

“Minister Narendra Modi is making announcements on the issue of Glocal. They are taking the decision on how we should be in terms of global and local issues. Modi takes one word, combines it with another to create a new word and makes announcements to confuse people," Kalappa said He said the important question is how this has helped people over a period of eight years.

"Now they are using words like Glocal, Amrit Kaal Budget, etc. Instead of just playing with words, let them tell people in detail what this means. How does this benefit people? How will people's lives be made easier? We don't know that,” the AAP leader further said.

“The Hindenburg Report about Adani Company is out. After this, his company's share price is falling. It is normal for company stocks to go up and down. But what was the need for you to invest government money into that company and create opportunities for it?," he asked About Rs 86,000 crore from a government company, LIC (Life Insurance) has been invested here.

Over Rs1 lakh crore from SBI (State Bank of India) has also been invested in Adani’s Company. Karnataka's State Bank of Mysore (SBM) was merged with SBI in 2017. In other words, Kannadiga's money which is in SBI, is invested in Adani Company, he charged.

“When he went to China with Gautam Adani in May 2015, didn’t the latter get the lion's share of 22 billion dollars in 26 contracts? Didn’t Modi travel mostly in Adani’s aircraft during the 2014 and 2019 elections? Is it not true that Prime Mini s t e r M o d i s p o k e with the Australian Prime Minister to get Carmichael M i n i n g C o m p a n y some benefit?” Kalappa asked.
