Bengaluru: One person died and two others were grievously injured after a “speeding” car crashed against a twowheeler near Neralur on the Attiebele highway on Saturday. Two doctors employed at a private hospital in the city were in the car, which was heading towards Chandapura via Attibele through a service road when they dashed the two-wheeler, killing the rider on the spot.
The car also ran over the legs of a street vendor who was on the roadside. One of the doctors suffered injuries and is in a serious condition. An ambulance driver, Srinivas, who reached the spot to rescue the injured, said that he found the twowheeler rider dead when he reached him. He shifted the street vendor and the driver of the car to a hospital while the other doctor in the car had already fled the spot. The body of the two-wheeler rider has been shifted to Oxford Hospital for legal formalities.
