Bengaluru: For many vehicle owners in the city, the street parkings in the city has turned out to be a nightmare with a clear warning of 'Parking at owners' risk.' Vehicle owners in Srinivasa Nagar were dumbstruck to find their vehicles damaged. According to sources, the windshields of around six cars that had been parked on the street had been smashed.
Scanning the CCTV camera, it was found that two unidentified miscreants had pelted stones on the vehicles in front of the houses during the wee hours of Friday. It is suspected that the youths were drunk. The CCTV has been handed over to the Hanumantha Nagar police with a complaint filed regarding the incident. Investigation is underway to identify the miscreants.
A similar incident was reported on February 5 after the Malleswaram police were alerted of an unidentified person damaging window glasses of three parked cars with a machete-like weapon near the BJP office in the wee hours of the day. Last year more such incidents had been reported but there was nothing done to curb the mischief.
