Budget misses real issues on ground
NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: Correspondents of News Trail have been carrying out ward watches from its inception in which civic issues are highlighted focusing on each ward extensively.
From the many issues that came out during these ward watches, some have to be addressed as soon as possible as citizens of the Silicon City have been living under a dangerous threat as the whole of Bengaluru is under the process of civic interventions. It was recently established that the Right to Information process is delayed and due to this, no data has been released to the general public.
It was noticed that many parts of the city lack pedestrian pathways as most of them are broken or have been encroached on by street vendors. This can be posed as a life-threatening experience as suggested by many citizens and is a major cause of traffic in many congested areas.
Many major roads, especially Kanakpura Road, which is a long stretch with very little to no diversions pose a traffic threat during rush hours, some of which can be easily witnessed at the Sarakki Junction. Due to the lack of infrastructure management, cables, and live wires hang on trees posing a major threat of getting electrocuted especially during the rainy season.
