Rs 150 cr to improve 75 junctions

Bengaluru: Rs 150 crore has been set aside to improve 75 junctions, the BBMP said in its budget presentation. Most junctions in the city are at least a few decades old and need a makeover at the earliest in order to smoothen traffic flow.

Bengaluru has now been given the tag of the secondmost congested city in the world and in order to erase this title, the BBMP must take on a sustainable solution in coordination with the various other departments involved in the management of the city.

The BBMP must also place information on upgrades in the public domain in order to receive suggestions and inputs from commuters and citizens, to find out what works the best for the public.
