Drunk man Hand in hand killed for abusing passerby

Bengaluru: RMC Yard police booked two persons for allegedly killing a drunkard who allegedly abused them.

Identified by the police as Shivakumar, 42, a resident of Peenya, the deceased was drunk while he was attacked by the duo, identified as Siddoji Rao and Girish. According to sources, the incident took place around 10:30 pm on Wednesday near a temple where a drunk Shivakumar allegedly abused the two accused who were walking in the area.

Following this, the two started arguing with Shivakumar and soon the argument turned violent as they started pushing each other. Sources added that Rao and Girish allegedly pushed Shivakumar to the ground and smashed his head with a stone.

A passer-by found the body around 2:30 am on Thursday and alerted the police control room about it. After an inspection, the police sent the body to MS Ramaiah hospital and took up a case. Within a few hours, the cops arrested both accused. Further probe is underway
