Bengaluru: The Kaggalipura police investigating the alleged suicide case of a businessman, Pradeep S, has said that they are preparing to file a B-report in the case before court within a week after completing the investigation.

Pradeep S, who was alleged to have been suffering from mental depression due to financial crisis, was found lying dead with a bullet injury in his car parked near Nettigere village near Ramanagara on January 1. Following an inspection, the police had retrieved a death note allegedly written by Pradeep which mentioned names of politicians and businessmen along with their contact details.

According to sources, the names mentioned in his death note are identified as Gopi, Somaiah, G Ramesh Reddy, Jayaram Reddy and Raghav Bhatt along with the BJP Minister Arvind Limbavali. So far the investigative officers have recorded the statements of 20 people, including a two-page statement from Mahadevapura MLA Arvind Limbavali.

In his statement, Limbavali said that he knew Pradeep as a businessman, but had no relation to him or his suicide. He stated that he had only suggested to Pradeep to sort out his financial disputes with his friends, according to the reports.

Sources added that when the police questioned Pradeep's wife about his business, she had denied any knowledge of his financial dealings with his friends. In the death note, Pradeep had accused his friends of cheating him and also had alleged that MLA Limbavali had assured of helping him out with the issue.

However sources from police said that there is no clear evidence to prove Pradeep’s allegations in his death note. It was found that Limbavali did not pressure Pradeep in the financial dispute or provoke him to take the extreme step.
