13 held with narcotics worth Rs 2.4 cr

Bengaluru: City Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths arrested 13 persons involved in inter-state drug peddling and seized narcotics worth Rs 2.4 crore from them. According to police sources, the CCB teams under the supervision of the Joint Commissioner of Police had been actively involved in monitoring drug peddlers in the city.
Carrying out special operations in the major areas of the city including Talaghattapura, Kodigehalli, Hennur, Koramanagala, Bommmanahalli to Banaswadi areas, the police tracked and nabbed the accused persons involved in peddling drugs from other states and supplying them here to the local peddlers.
The CCB personnel claim to have also seized 1.556 grams of MDMA crystals, 41 Ecstacy pills, 25 kg ganja, two cars, a bike and 9 mobile phones from the accused.
