Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has announced that it hopes to complete the construction of the Ejipura Flyover by the end of this year. The flyover, which connects the Intermediate Ring Road to Koramangala and beyond, has been under construction since 2017 and is expected to reduce travel time and ease congestion in the area.
The project was initially supposed to be completed by 2019, but it was delayed due to issues with land acquisition and funding. However, the BBMP has assured that the remaining work on the flyover will be completed in a timely manner.
According to BBMP officials, the construction work is currently focused on the widening of the road under the flyover, which is expected to be completed by May. The remaining work, including the laying of concrete and the installation of streetlights and other infrastructure, is expected to be completed by December.
The Ejipura flyover is a crucial infrastructure project for the city of Bengaluru, as it will connect two major commercial hubs and help ease traffic congestion in the area. The BBMP's commitment to completing the project by the end of the year will be welcomed by the residents and businesses in the surrounding areas that have been affected by the ongoing construction work.
