Bengaluru: The newly renovated Jawahar Bal Bhavan children park, recently inaugurated by the Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai, has become the go to spot for parents with young children. The children’s park located at Cubbon park here was reopened after renovation under the Smart City project by the Chief Minister. The park had shut its doors during the covid pandemic. Earlier, the park used to draw a large number of children.

After the renovation, once again, the park is attracting a large crowd of children with various new items like the express toy train. Along with this, the children can also pursue other fun activities like boat rides – rowing, pedalling or even motor rides, wall climbing, going over the commando and burma bridges and ziplining.

The Chief Minister in his inaugural address said that as part of the renovation works more amusement and recreational facilities had been added for the benefit of children. A parent at the park said that after the first visit to the renovated park, they had decided to drop by at least twice in a month.

“The park was closed during the covid and has now been opened to children with much more recreational activities. It is one of the best places in the city to spend the weekend. The children will also find an opportunity to socialise among their peers and have lots of fun,” he said. Another parent resonated the same opinion when he said, “This is the best spot for children to spend their vacation.”
