Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, an autorickshaw driver was found dead under suspicious circumstances at an isolated place near the Railway Parallel Road in Malleswaram on Monday. The deceased was identified as Abraham alias Shankar.
The Malleswaram police had arrested two of Abraham’s friends in a drugs case and it is said that Abraham was fleeing thinking that he too may be caught. At that time, it is suspected that he may have jumped off the railway bridge. Since there were no external injuries, it is suspected that he may have died of a heart attack.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination and the Malleswaram police said that they will know the cause of death after they receive the autopsy report. A case has been registered in this regard. In a similar incident, KG Halli police found a bludgeoned body of a man near the Pillanna Garden railway tracks during the wee hours of Monday.
The deceased was identified as Satish, 22. Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was assaulted with a wooden log by two or more persons who later dumped his body near the tracks and fled the spot.
