2 killed in road accident in Malavalli taluk

Two persons were killed on the spot and more than 20 others were injured in a road accident near Dasanadoddi village in Malavalli taluk of the district. The tragic incident took place in an accident involving a car and a Bolero goods vehicle. The deceased have been identified as Madaliyamma (50) and Josmin Mary (60). They hailed from Jageri village near Shimsha in Kollegal taluk. Police sources said the accident took place when they were returning from Maramma temple in Shimsha. The police visited the spot and inspected it. The injured have been admitted to Malavalli Taluk General Hospital. All the injured have been shifted to District Hospital after first aid at Malavalli Hospital. A case has been registered at the Belakavadi police station in this regard.
