Bengaluru: Bengaluru has been recording a steady decline in the number of Covid-19 cases over the past few days.
As of Tuesday, April 18, a total of 231 Covid-19 cases were recorded in the city, bringing the total number of active cases to 1,366. The recovery rate stands at 99.03%, with no fatalities recorded on the day. One of the most positive developments in recent times has been the decline in the positivity rate, which has dropped from 18.7% on April 17 to 4.1% on April 18.
However, it is important to note that certain areas in the city continue to record higher numbers of cases compared to others. For instance, Bellanduru has recorded the highest number of cases in the past 10 days, with an average of 12 cases per day.
This is followed by HSR Layout, which has recorded an average of 9 cases per day, and Dodda Nekkundi, which has recorded an average of 8 cases per day. Despite the decline in the number of cases, it is crucial for citizens to continue following Covid-19 protocols and taking all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
