6 killed in two separate incidents

Bengaluru: Three persons died in a tragic car accident on Saturday afternoon on the new Dasapath highway between Bengaluru and Mysore.
The accident took place near the Lambani branch of the highway in Channapatna taluk when one of the wheels of a speeding Alto car burst, jumped the divider, and collided with an Innova car. The father and his children, who were natives of T Narasipur, lost their lives, while two others were seriously injured and are currently receiving treatment at Nimhans Hospital in Bengaluru. The Channapatnam traffic police conducted an investigation.
Both the cars were completely crushed in the accident. In another incident, three members of a same family from Gollarhatti, Muttasagar, and Magadi, lost their lives when they drowned in Neerupalu Lake while washing their sheep.
The deceased have been identified as Nagaraju (30), Jyoti (35), and Lakshmi (22). The incident occurred in Muttasagar village of Magadi in Ramanagara district. The local fire brigade rushed to the spot to recover the bodies from the lake.
