IMD predicts four days of rain in Bengaluru

On Monday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 22.5 degrees Celsius

Bengaluru: According to a statement released on Monday by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts are expected to experience light to moderate rains or thundershowers in the evening or nights for the next four days.

On Monday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 22.5 degrees Celsius, which is a slight drop from the maximum temperatures of the previous week which were at or above 36 degrees Celsius.

The IMD also stated that over the next 24 hours, isolated areas of Bidar, Belagavi, Bagalkote, Koppal, Kalaburagi, Raichur, and Yadgir districts of North Interior Karnataka, as well as Ballari, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Tumakuru and Ramanagar districts of south interior Karnataka may experience thunderstorms with rain and thunderstorms.

The remaining districts of Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka are expected to remain dry. The IMD added that a few places in the coastal region may experience maximum temperatures above normal by up to 2 degrees Celsius, but no heatwave warnings have been issued across the state as per reports.
