Cong seeks action in 'fake' license scam
NT Correspondent
Mysuru: Congress on Wednesday took exception to an alleged 'fake driver’s license racket' at the Mysuru Regional Transport Office (RTO) and asked as to why no action had been taken in the matter despite a similar case being registered five months ago.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala cited a Kannada news report from Vijayavani for the same.
“This is the real description of the BJP-Bommai Govt in #Karnataka! Mr @BSBommai , You are playing with the lives of people by this “fake Driver’s License Scam” in RTO, Mysore. Why have you not taken any action for five months since the FIR? Who are the kingpins of the scam? Who are you and BJP trying to save? What is the connection of the ruling government with the scam? If not, what is the reason for inaction?” Surjewala asked. “Will Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah answer or he is too preoccupied in insulting Karnataka and the polarisation game to bother about the scams in Karnataka?” he added.
