Women outnumber men voters in 9 of the total 11 Assembly seats in Mysuru Dist

Mysuru: As many as 26,55,988 persons are eligible to exercise their franchise in the Assembly election to be held in Mysuru district on May 10. According to information available, of the total 26,55,988 voters, 13,38,637 are women voters and 13,17,121 are male voters.

Two hundred and thirty are transgender voters. While the maximum numbers of voters are in Chamundeshwari constituency with 3,29,141 voters (1,64,151 male and 1,64,955 female), the minimum number of voters is in Periyapatna with 1,95,458 (98106 male and 97345 female) voters.

Women out number male voters Of the total 11 Assembly constituencies, women voters outnumber male voters in K.R.Nagar, Hunsur, Nanjangud, Chamundeshwari, Krishnaraja, Chamaraja, Narasimharaja, Varuna, and T.Narasipur. The men voters are higher only in Periyapatna and HD Kote constituencies.
