
Expressway horror: 2 die, one injured in mishap

Bengaluru: Two people were killed and one was critically injured in a tragic accident that took place near the Jayapura Gate of Ramanagar on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway on Monday.
The deceased were identified by the jurisdictional traffic police as Yasin, 22, a resident of Okalipuram and Rehman, 18, a resident of Magadi Road in Bengaluru. The identity of the injured youth is yet to be ascertained, sources from the police told News Trail.
Sources said that all three were on a bike while going towards Mysuru from Bengaluru when the driver lost control of the bike and crashed into a parked car on the side of the highway. As the three were thrown away on the road due to the impact, another vehicle coming from behind ran over two of them killing them on the spot.
The injured youth was rushed to a hospital. Reaching the spot, the Ramanagara traffic police conducted an inspection and registered a case. Recently, five members of a family died on the expressway after a car driver allegedly lost control of the wheel and crashed into a divider near Ramanagara.
