Bengaluru: Close on the heels of Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai’s strict instructions to book cases against those who have posted on social media celebrating the tragic death of 13 Defense personnel including CDS Bipin Rawat in Coonoor district of Tamil Nadu recently, the cops have identified three Facebook accounts that had carried derogatory remarks on late Army General.
According to sources, the identity of another person was not available. But the cyber cops were leaving no stone unturned to go deep into the IP address to find details of the account holder. While three account holders were from Bengaluru, one was from Udupi.
Once details of the persons were tracked, the cops would book cases and arrest them for insulting the dead senior army officers. Meanwhile, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra spoke to DG&IG Praveen Sood and directed him to instruct the officers to deal with the “perverts” with an iron hand.
