Bengaluru: The unidentified body of a man was found in a car parked near a car garage here on Friday. The incident took place in the Shivajinagar Police Station limits at a garage in Tasker Town. According to sources, residents found a man sleeping inside the car and on closer observation, realised he was dead.

Immediately, residents staying in the vicinity, besides workers at the garage alerted the police who reached the spot and inspected the body. Preliminary probe by the cops revealed that the man was heavily intoxicated.

The cops suspect that he may have crept inside the car late on Thursday to protect himself from the rain and dozed off, before suffocating to death. It is said that the car was left by its owner at the garage for some repair work. Police shifted the body to a hospital, and the jurisdictional police took up a case for further investigation.
