Bengaluru: A group of Congress workers led by Manohar, a local leader sprinkled cow urine and performed pooja in front of Vidhana Soudha as part of a ‘purification’ exercise in Bengaluru on Monday. Before the 16th session of the State Assembly began, Congress workers, along with a priest, sprayed cow urine to purify the ‘seat of power’ from the menace of corruption during the fouryear rule of the BJP.

The cow urine that was collected in a tumbler, was sprinkled using mango leaves in front of the majestic Vidhana Soudha building as part of the ‘purification’. Manohar told reporters that this was done to purify the Soudha from corruption and also to mark the end of the most corrupt government Karnataka has seen.

Recently, the police arrested three to four persons in Mysuru after a local Cong ress leader, Kamsale Ravi performed ‘purification’ of the New Sayyaji Rao Road by sprinkling cow urine following a road show by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the election campaign. He contended that the road became ‘polluted’ because of the roadshow of Modi as the Vijaya Dashami procession passes on this road every year on the tenth day of the world-famous Dasara festival.
