Bengaluru: If you think you are having a hard time at your job, then this story of a woman traffic police officer executing her duties, despite heavy rains, might help you appreciate yours a little more.

K Hema Siddapura, an of ficer attached to Sadashivanagar traffic police station in Bengaluru, was seen managing the vehicular congestion at the busy Mekhri Circle, while the heavy rains lashed the city on Sunday. Another point worth noting here is that the officer continued to work barefoot after her shoes got drenched in the rainwater.

Following the videos of the traffic officer manning the flooded and jam-packed junction were viral, social media platforms went abuzz with netizens appreciating Hema for her dedication. Special Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Dr MA Saleem, on Monday, presented Hema with an appreciation letter and commended her work and for keeping the duty above self.
