Long wait over, Sudeep’s new film announced

After a rather long wait, a new film starring Kichcha Sudeep was announced on Wednesday evening. The film is produced under Tamil producer Kalaippuli S Thanu’s banner V Creations.

The glimpse of Kiccha46 shows Sudeep walking into a film set and meeting the producer. The glimpse signs off promising the teaser very soon. Fans were left wondering if the shooting of the film has already commenced.

Kalaipuli S Thanu is a well-known director and producer in Tamil. Some of the films he has produced for top Tamil stars include Kaakha Kaakha, Thuppakki, Their, Kabali, Asuran and Karnan.

The film with Sudeep is said to be directed by newcomer Vijay. However, there is no official announcement of it yet. Two other films of Sudeep are to be announced shortly. One of them is said to be a home production directed by Anup Bhandari and the other is likely to be with director Nanda Kishore.

The actor had announced a month ago that three of his films have been lined up and the respective teams would make the announcements in due course. Days later, the actor began canvassing in the Karnataka Assembly elections and there were no announcements forthcoming about the new films. Sudeep’s last film Vikrant Rona, directed by Anup Bhandari, released on July 28, 2022.

The announcement of the new film comes ten months later. Before Vikrant Rona, Kotigobba 3 released in 2021. No film of his released in 2020. Sudeep was seen in an extended cameo in R Chandru’s Kabzaa which released in March this year.

Sudeep has been concentrating on panIndia films in the last few years. It started with Krishna-directed Pailwaan in 2019 which was released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam apart from Kannada. Kotigobba 3, a sequel to Kotigobba 2 was also dubbed into Hindi and Telugu.
