Crazy Star Ravichandran, who celebrated his 62nd birthday this week is acting in one more legal thriller.

He was seen in quite a few legal thrillers including Seizer, Buckasura, Dasharatha and Ravi Bopanna in recent years. The new film is titled The Judgement and leaves no doubt about its genre.

“This is an ensemble film with Ravichandran in the lead. Though the shooting of the film is well underway, we had not released the first-look of the film so far. To celebrate the Crazy Star’s birthday, we are releasing it now.

This is a special film that will present the star in a new light. We celebrated his birthday on the sets and this is our tribute to him,” director Gururaja Kulkarni (Nadagouda) said.

He said that the film has a big star cast. “Apart from Ravi sir, we have Diganth Manchalae, Meghana Gaonkar, Dhanya Ramkumar, Lakshmi Gopalswamy, Prakash Belawadi, Krishna Hebbale, Rangayana Raghu, Rajendra Karanth, Sujay Shastri, Roopa Rayappa and Ravishankar Gowda in the cast. We have left no stone unturned to make this a special film. Ravi sir has been a bedrock of support for the film,” he said.

The film has music by Anoop Seelin and cinematography by PKH Das.

Ravichandran, who was obviously having fun with the film, said, “Every other character in the film is an advocate and so far all the characters are blaming me. The director seems to be having good fun making everyone scold me in the film.”

He was, however praise for his passion for films. “He is having fun doing the film and that is the best thing. The producer is passionate and does not hesitate to spend to make the film look good,” he said.

Prakash Belawadi recalled that he was a newspaper journalist when Ravichandran started his career as an actor and enjoyed his films.

“I later went into theatre but was not an actor there. Today, I am acting with Ravichandran. Life has come one full circle. There are very few directors who work on their film scripts today. When this film’s story was narrated to me, I was very happy. I was also thrilled I would be acting with Ravichandran. I should congratulate Ravichandran for accepting this film. These are the kind of films that stars should support to help rejuvenate the industry. Since I know the story, it would be inappropriate to reveal it,” he said.
