
Will try to protect journalists' interest, says CM media advisor

Bengaluru: Chief Minister's Media Adviser KV Prabhakar has said that he is aware of the pitfalls of the professional life of journalists and will try his best to protect their interests. Prabhakar was speaking after receiving honours from State SC/ST Press Editors' Association.
"Now I have got the important responsibility of being the Chief Minister's Media Adviser, and I will use this responsibility for the good of the government and for the benefit of journalists. The office of media adviser is always open for journalists, he said.
"Journalists have a duty to fulfill the wishes of the Constitution. Journalists and newspapers should stand as an escort for government projects that seek the good of all in society. Necessary guidance should be given to the government along with rational criticism," KV Prabhakar said adding that that is professionalism. He said that a meeting of all journalists organisations will be held with the officials of the news department and action will be taken to fulfill the demands of journalists.
President of State Working Journalists Association, Shivananda Tagaduru said that KV Prabhakar was a very calm and friendly person. His experience and professionalism as a journalist will be useful for this state. He has been responding to the problems of journalists since the past.
