Ravi Channannavar appointed DIG Internal Security

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Thursday issued a transfer order for Ravi D Channannavar, IPS, Managing Director of Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KEONICS) for his appointment as DIG Internal Security Division.  

As per the orders, he has now been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police for Internal Security Division. The move is part of the ongoing transition process within the newly formed state government.

Channannavar, who was embroiled in controversy due to allegations of corruption against him, was later transferred as the Managing Director of Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Development Corporation last year by the Basavaraj Bommailed BJP government. However, later his transfer order was stayed. Channannavar has previously served as CID SP among other posts.
